Rest In Peace

Vocal : Spike AKA William the Bloody (James Marsters)
Album : Once More With Feeling (Buffy the Vampire Slayer Musical)

I died, so many years ago
But you can make me feel like it isn't so
And why you come to be with me, I think I finally know

You're scared, ashamed of what you feel
And you can't tell the ones you love, you know they couldn't deal
A whisper in a dead man's ear, it doesn't make it real

That's great, but I don't want to play
'Cause bein' with you touches me, more than I can say
And since I'm only dead to you, I'm sayin' stay away
And let me rest in peace

Let me rest in peace! Let me get some sleep!
Let me take my love and bury it in a hole six foot deep!
I can lay my body down but I can't find my sweet release!
So let me rest in peace!

You know, you got a willin' slave
And you just love to play the tought that you might misbehave
But 'til you do, I'm tellin' you
Sto visiting my grave!
And let me rest in peace!

I know, I should go
But I follow you like a man possessed
There's a traitor here beneath my breast
And it hurts me more than you've ever guessed
If my heart could beat it would break my cheast
But I can see you're unimpressed
So leave me be

And let me rest in peace! Let me get some sleep!

Let me take my love and bury it in a hole six foot deep!
I can lay my body down but I can't find my sweet release!
Let me rest in peace!
Why won't you let me rest in peace!

Captain John Hart

If you're a hardcore Spike's fan, you'll be searching anything about him in the net. I found dozens of Spike's fanfics and read them all (er... I'm exaggerating, huh?). I read and like all Spike-comics, especially Old Times (hail to Peter David for the story and Fernando Goni for the realistic art). Eventually, I searched as many as possible articles about the man behind the character, James Marsters. Because no one can play the character as charismatic and masterfully as Marsters. Not a British, but can speak in  Cockney and Victorian accents so perfectly that so many people didn't aware he's an American? Thanks to his ten years experience on theatre.

Anyway, I watched Dragonball Evolution and didn't know or care who played as Piccolo, because right then I haven't watched all Buffy Seasons and be crazy about Spike yet. And then last night I found an outrageous vid at YouTube and watched a clip from an episode from Torchwood. My mouth gaped. James Marsters kisses and fights another beautiful male! Uh-oh... so hot!!! *shonen-ai alert*

His character, Capt John Hart, is an evil, opportunistic, manipulating (but cute and funny, though) villain (which reminds me of Spike in earlier episodes of Buffy Season 2). He is a former partner (in every way) of the main character in the series, Capt Jack Harkness. He's an omnisexual (OMG, he thinks a poodle's hot!), has been in multiple rehab (drink, drug, sex, and... murder!), but he's got style... look at his costume! As a former Time Agent from the 51st century, he can wear anything he likes from any era. Jacket from Napoleonic Wars, boots from Italy circa 1640, gun holsters from American western, and snakeskin sword from Korea. So cool! As cool as Spike's duster and boots!

Marsters looks younger than his age on screen. He's born on August 20, 1962, for God's sake! In Buffy-Angel TV Series (1998-2004), he played as a vampire who turned at 28 years old (he's 36-42 years old then!). In Torchwood Season 2 (filmed 2007, aired 2008), he looks older than Spike, but really, he doesn't look 45 years old! Lucky him to have boyish charms and looks!

The point is, Capt John Hart is a cool guy, but nevertheless, Spike is much, much cooler. What can I say? I'm still in Spike frenzy mode right now.
